THE DYES4EVER TEAM FINAL MEETING

The dyes4ever project Is coming to an end, the project finalization will coincide with the ending of the current year. After 30 month of intensive work and being accomplished the foreseen objectives, the project Team will meet the next December 17th, 2015 in order to share the impressions and ideas raised during the last 8 months, as the las meeting was celebrated in march 2015. As a team we will take advantage of this meeting for organize the plan of work for the afterlife period, the project team is interested in the dissemination of the results obtained so they can be implemented in new organizations with similar conditions of those experienced in the one the pilot plant was placed.

ARTICLE PUBLISHED IN THE TEXTILE CHEMISTRY REVIEW

Quimica eA draft article can be read on page 25 of the magazine Chemistry and Industry Textile SPANISH OFFICIAL ORGAN ASSOCIATION Textile Chemists and Colorists entitled Using Cyclodextrins for the recovery of Textile Dyes.

DYES4EVER project aims to solve one of the major pollution problems to the textile industry, textile dyes not fixed in dyeing process polluting water. The aim of the project is the use of cyclodextrins (CDs) to retrieve these dyes so that they can be reused as raw material in new dyeing process. Furthermore the use of chemicals to remove the dye prevents water, so it can increase the life cycle of the new versions of them in water dyeing processes. In this process waste waters dyeing of cellulosic fibers with direct dyes have been employed from the company Colorprint that have been treated with different epichlorohydrin cyclodextrins polymers (EPI-CDs), the complex formed by the polymers charged with the dyes has been employed as a raw material to dyed cotton fabrics.

The DYES4EVER PROJECT was presented in The Advanced Materials World Congress (AMWC) through a poster called "TREATMENT OF WASTEWATER IN TEXTILE INDUSTRY TO RECOVER AND REUSE DYES".

Advanced Materials World Congress (AMWC) is a four-day international event organised by International Association of Advanced Materials, Linköping University and VBRI Press during 23-26 August 2015 on the Baltic Sea from Stockholm-Helsinki-Stockholm by the Viking Line Cruise Mariella. The goal of congress is to provide a global platform for researchers and engineers coming from academia and industry to present their research results and activities in the field of fundamental and interdisciplinary research of materials science and technology.
